Accessibility
AskAboutPBAT aims to meet WCAG 2.2 AA as a practical target for public pages and the Ask workspace. Accessibility is treated as part of product quality, not an afterthought.
What we design for
- Keyboard navigation and visible focus states.
- Semantic headings, landmarks and skip links.
- Text contrast suited to the forest and ivory palette.
- Reduced-motion preferences that limit non-essential animation.
- Clear labels on buttons, dialogs and form controls.
Known limits
Some evidence views, dense citation lists and future data tools may be harder on small screens or with certain assistive technologies while those features are still under construction. We prioritise fixes that unblock understanding of answers and sources.
AI and media
Where voice playback is offered, transcripts or readable answer text remain available. AI-generated speech is labelled as such in the product experience.
Feedback
If you encounter a barrier, contact us through the contact page with the page URL, your assistive technology if relevant, and what you were trying to do. We use that information to prioritise repairs.
